Dr. Brent A. Williams

Dr. Brent A. Williams was appointed Medical Director of Hope Healthcare in 2005. Previously, he attended both the Pacific Union College in California and the Collegio Adventista de Sagunto in Spain before earning his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Chemistry, Biology and Spanish from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. In 1998, he graduated from California’s Loma Linda University with a Doctorate of Medicine.

Dr. Williams then completed a 3-year internship and residency in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1998 to 2001, he served as an assistant professor in the same faculty as well as a clinical instructor.

Dr. Williams boasts a rich history of hospital appointments. Beginning in 2001, he was appointed to Emory University and Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, as well as an ER Physician for PhyAmerica, Emcare and the Tanner Health System in Carrollton, Georgia. These ended in 2005 and 2006, respectively. He has been appointed to the Bermuda Hospital Board since 2002; Dr. Williams also served on the Board of Directors of the Bermuda Health and Cancer Resource Centre from 2008 to 2012. Since 2010, he has served as Post Medical Advisor for the U.S. Consulate.

Dr. Williams currently holds licensure from both the Georgia State Board and the Bermuda Medical Council. He was licensed by the American Board Family Practice in 2001. Fully bilingual, he is happy to provide care in Spanish. In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys cycling, racquetball, skiing and travel.

Dr. Shaina Kelly  joined the Hope Healthcare team in July 2018, as a Family Physician. Dr. Kelly graduated from Penn State University School of Medicine in 2002. She then

completed her residency in Family Medicine at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in 2005. In 2006 Dr. Kelly’s love for Bermuda brought her back home and she commenced patient care.

Dr. Kelly is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. She is also a member of: Open Airways Board, the Mental Health Tribunal, the Staff Medical Board and is on the KEMH CME Committee.

When not at the office, Dr. Kelly is busy spending time with her husband Curtis and young children, Cailyn and Landon. She enjoys family time, exercise and playing her violin in the Bermuda Philharmonic
